The Voyage

Sardinia, Costa Smeralda, La Maddalena, Bonifacio, Sardinia

This yacht sailing voyage explores the finest stretch between Sardinia and Corsica: the Costa Smeralda, the La Maddalena archipelago and the chalk cliffs of Bonifacio. Daily stops and nights at anchor leave ample time for swimming and watersports.

Highlights

  • Costa Smeralda: the crystal-clear bays of Sardinia’s north-east coast.
  • La Maddalena: the island archipelago with its pink-tinged beaches.
  • Bonifacio: the old town high on Corsica’s white chalk cliffs.
  • Strait: sailing through the Strait of Bonifacio.
Yacht voyage

The finest way to sail: a new anchorage every day, plenty of time for watersports and going ashore, nights at anchor in a quiet bay and a morning swim before moving on.

Golfo di Marinella

How the route could go:

Golfo di Marinella Costa Smeralda (Sardinia) La Maddalena (Sardinia) Bonifacio (Corsica)
4 Häfen · Routenverlauf · ca. 60 Seemeilen
  • Golfo di Marinella (Sardinia) · Embarkation

The Golfo di Marinella lies on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, close to Porto Rotondo and the fashionable Costa Smeralda. Pink-tinged granite outcrops, pine groves and turquoise bays define this stretch of coast.

  • Costa Smeralda (Sardinia)

The Costa Smeralda on Sardinia's northern coast is one of the most expensive stretches of coastline in the world. Turquoise water, white granite rocks and the marina of Porto Cervo make the area a glamorous Mediterranean retreat.

  • La Maddalena (Sardinia)

The Maddalena archipelago north of Sardinia is a national park made up of seven main islands. Spiaggia Rosa on Budelli (a pink sand beach formed of crushed shells) and Cala Coticcio on Caprera are among the finest beaches in Italy.

  • Bonifacio (Corsica)

Bonifacio sits on the southern tip of Corsica atop a narrow limestone cliff directly above the sea, separated from Sardinia by just the 12-kilometre Strait of Bonifacio. The old town from the Genoese period perches on a cliff undercut by wind and waves, and the King of Aragon's Staircase descends 187 steps to the sea.
