Bermuda ketch

Chronos

A premium ketch for guests who take their sailing seriously

On board Chronos, it is the sailing that matters, not the timetable. The 54-metre Bermuda ketch carries 1,000 square metres of sail on two masts and pairs classic aesthetics with modern comfort. Anyone who wishes may take the helm and feel what it is like to steer a large yacht under sail. Everything is possible, nothing is required.

When the ship lies at anchor in the evening, the generous teak deck belongs to the guests: the fully stocked bar, the elegant saloon, the sun awnings for dining in the open air. At night the stars stretch undisturbed above the deck, in the morning the sunrise over the sea wakes you, and if you like you can swim straight from the ship.

Up to 24 guests are accommodated in 13 cabins (Master, Long and Deluxe, all with private bathroom and air conditioning), generous space for a personal atmosphere. An experienced crew of ten looks after the safety and wellbeing of guests. In summer Chronos cruises the Mediterranean, in winter the Caribbean, linked by Atlantic crossings in spring and autumn.

Environmental care on board

More than 70 per cent of every passage is made under sail. The fuel is synthetic diesel (Shell GTL), and CO2 emissions amount to roughly 195 kg per guest and week, compared with 1,500 to 2,400 kg on conventional cruise ships. Single-use plastic is avoided on board and provisions are sourced regionally.
