A Considered Middle Ground
Silver Spirit entered service in 2009 and was extended and refitted in 2018, emerging with 636 guests in an expanded configuration that added public spaces and a sixth restaurant. She occupies a comfortable position in the fleet: larger than the intimate Shadow-class ships at 392 guests, smaller than the Nova-class at 728, with a design that reflects the generation between the oldest and newest Silversea vessels.
Her 636 guests travel with a crew of 415 – a strong ratio – in all-suite accommodation with butler service throughout.
Dining: Six Venues
Silver Spirit carries six dining venues, added to during the 2018 refit. The Restaurant serves the full daily programme. La Terrazza covers Italian cuisine. Seishin provides a Japanese alternative. Spaccanapoli handles Neapolitan pizza and antipasti. La Dame is the French fine-dining room. The Grill operates poolside for informal meals. All venues are included.
The S.A.L.T. programme is not present on Silver Spirit in the same form as on the newer ships, though the culinary offering has been updated through successive refits.
Accommodation
The suite range covers Classic Veranda to Owner’s Suite level, all with butler service and private verandas. The 2018 refit updated interiors and added new suite configurations in the expanded section of the ship. Wi-Fi, drinks, and gratuities are included across all categories.
Public Areas
The expansion added a dedicated observation deck and extended the pool area. The spa, fitness centre, casino, boutique, and full range of lounges occupy the same general configuration as other Silversea classic-class ships. The additional space from the 2018 extension translates most noticeably into the pool deck and the observation areas, which were modest on the original configuration.
Itineraries
Silver Spirit sails a global programme similar to Silver Muse and the Moon/Dawn pair, with particular strength in Mediterranean and Northern Europe routes. As a slightly older ship, she tends to carry the more modestly priced departures in the annual calendar while maintaining the same inclusive standard across on-board categories.
