The Voyage

Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Lefkada, return to Zakynthos

This distance passage starts in Zakynthos, runs via Kefalonia and Lefkada through the southern Ionian Sea and returns to its starting point. Alongside fine anchorages it includes longer legs, some sailed on into the night. In this way the Rhea combines relaxed swimming stops with genuine stretches under sail on the open sea.

Highlights

  • Zakynthos: the famous shipwreck bay and the blue caves in the north of the island.
  • Kefalonia: the white beach of Myrtos and the Melissani cave near Sami.
  • Lefkada: the sheltered bays around Nydri and nearby Meganisi.
  • Night legs: longer stretches under the starry sky of the Ionian Sea.
Distance voyage

A yacht voyage with beautiful stops for watersports and time ashore, but also longer legs sailed in part through the night. For everyone who enjoys the sailing itself.

Lefkada, Zakynthos

How the route could go:

Zakynthos Kefalonia Lefkada, Zakynthos
3 Häfen · Routenverlauf · ca. 60 Seemeilen
  • Zakynthos · Embarkation

Zakynthos is the southernmost of the Ionian Islands. Smugglers Cove with its stranded shipwreck is one of the world's best-known beach motifs; the sheltered Bay of Laganas is a nesting ground for loggerhead turtles.

  • Kefalonia

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands. Myrtos Bay - one of the most photographed beach motifs in Greece - the Drogarati stalactite cave and the underground lake of Melissani (open water beneath a collapsed cave roof) give Kefalonia a uniquely natural character.

  • Lefkada, Zakynthos · Disembarkation

This Ionian island is connected to the Greek mainland by a narrow bridge and is renowned for its bright white limestone cliffs. The beaches of Porto Katsiki and Egremni are considered among the most spectacular in Greece.

The route of a sailing voyage may change without giving rise to mutual claims.
