Corfu, Paxos, Antipaxos, Lefkas, return to Corfu
From Corfu this sailing voyage runs south via Paxos and Antipaxos as far as Lefkas and back again. Short legs under sail alternate with long nights at anchor in sheltered bays, and each day begins with a plunge into the sea. In this way the Rhea strings together the green islands of the northern Ionian into an atmospheric route.
Highlights
- Corfu: a UNESCO old town with Venetian fortresses and the elegant Liston arcade.
- Paxos: olive groves and the harbour of Gaios with its colourful house fronts.
- Antipaxos: fine sandy coves and clear water, a classic stop for a swim.
- Lefkas: an island joined to the mainland by a channel, with tranquil Meganisi within easy reach.
The finest way to sail: a new anchorage every day, plenty of time for watersports and going ashore, nights at anchor in a quiet bay and a morning swim before moving on.

How the route could go:
-
Corfu · Embarkation
Corfu lies in the Ionian Sea off the Albanian mainland coast and is the northernmost of Greece's Ionian Islands. The UNESCO-listed old town of the capital Kerkyra reveals four centuries of Venetian heritage between the Old and New Fortresses, with the bell tower of Agios Spyridon rising above.
-
Paxos
Paxos is the smallest of the inhabited Ionian Islands (only 25 km²). Emerald-green water, white cliffs, olive groves and three tiny harbours (Gaios, Lakka, Loggos) make Paxos one of the most beautiful islands of Greece.
-
Antipaxos (Antipaxos)
Antipaxos lies south of Paxos in the Ionian Islands - a tiny island with fewer than 50 inhabitants. Voutoumi and Vrika Beach are considered among the most beautiful beaches in Greece, with crystal-clear turquoise water.
-
Lefkas (Lefkada)
Lefkas (Lefkada) is one of the few Greek islands connected to the mainland by bridge. Turquoise beaches (Porto Katsiki, Egremni) are among the finest in Europe; Venetian fortresses recall the island's history.
