The Voyage

Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Lefkas, Corfu

This distance passage runs from Zakynthos in the south up via Kefalonia and Lefkas to Corfu. Fine anchorages and time ashore alternate with longer legs that occasionally carry on into the evening. A varied passage through the whole of the Ionian island world from south to north.

Highlights

  • Zakynthos: shipwreck bay and blue caves at the start of the voyage.
  • Kefalonia: the beach of Myrtos and the fishing village of Fiskardo in the north of the island.
  • Lefkas: calm bays around Nydri and the nearby islet of Meganisi.
  • Corfu: a Venetian old town and fortresses as the destination in the north.
Distance voyage

A yacht voyage with beautiful stops for watersports and time ashore, but also longer legs sailed in part through the night. For everyone who enjoys the sailing itself.

How the route could go:

Zakynthos Kefalonia Lefkas
3 von 4 Häfen verortet · ca. 70 Seemeilen
  • Zakynthos · Embarkation

Zakynthos is the southernmost of the Ionian Islands. Smugglers Cove with its stranded shipwreck is one of the world's best-known beach motifs; the sheltered Bay of Laganas is a nesting ground for loggerhead turtles.

  • Kefalonia

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands. Myrtos Bay - one of the most photographed beach motifs in Greece - the Drogarati stalactite cave and the underground lake of Melissani (open water beneath a collapsed cave roof) give Kefalonia a uniquely natural character.

  • Lefkas (Lefkada)

Lefkas (Lefkada) is one of the few Greek islands connected to the mainland by bridge. Turquoise beaches (Porto Katsiki, Egremni) are among the finest in Europe; Venetian fortresses recall the island's history.

  • Corfu · Disembarkation

Corfu lies in the Ionian Sea off the Albanian mainland coast and is the northernmost of Greece's Ionian Islands. The UNESCO-listed old town of the capital Kerkyra reveals four centuries of Venetian heritage between the Old and New Fortresses, with the bell tower of Agios Spyridon rising above.

The route of a sailing voyage may change without giving rise to mutual claims.
