Narvik is a port town in northern Norway on the Ofotfjord.

  • DI · 03.11.2026
    Svolvær

Svolvær is the capital of the Lofoten Islands - an archipelago that rises from the polar sea like a jagged rock wall. The red wooden houses on stilts (rorbuer), sea-eagle safaris and the midnight sun make Svolvær a quintessential Norwegian scene.

  • MI · 04.11.2026
    Leknes

Leknes is the main town of Vestvagoy Island in Norway's Lofoten archipelago.

  • FR · 06.11.2026
    Brønnøysund

Broennoeysund is a port town on the Helgeland coast of central Norway.

  • SO · 08.11.2026
    Geirangerfjord

The Geirangerfjord is a UNESCO World Heritage fjord on Norway's west coast.

  • MO · 09.11.2026
    Ålesund

Ålesund on Norway's west coast is the Art Nouveau city par excellence. Completely rebuilt in just three years after a great fire in 1904, Ålesund is regarded today as a unique architectural ensemble - with views from Aksla Hill over the tangle of islands.

  • MI · 11.11.2026
    Nordfjordeid

Nordfjordeid lies at the head of the Nordfjord in western Norway. The town is known for its Viking heritage and the Sagastad centre.

  • DO · 12.11.2026
    Flåm

Flåm sits at the innermost end of the Aurlandsfjord - a side arm of the Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world. The Flåm Railway, one of the steepest adhesion railways in the world, winds up through 20 tunnels to the Hardangervidda plateau. The UNESCO-listed fjord and the Nærøyfjord passage are among Norway's most spectacular experiences.

  • SA · 14.11.2026
    Bergen · Disembarkation

Bergen is the gateway to Norway's fjords. The colourful wooden houses of Bryggen on the harbour (UNESCO) tell of the Hanseatic era; Mount Fløyen with its funicular offers panoramic views over the seven-hill city.

Why ivent-sailing

We know the sea — we have sailed many regions ourselves as skippers.

That is what makes our advice different: we know how geographic conditions shape the maritime experience, how that translates for you as a guest depending on your place on the ship, what sea conditions to expect in which season, what makes a quiet anchor bay special, and which cabin on which ship is worth the upgrade. Our recommendations come from the water, not from a brochure.
