The Voyage

Puerto Williams to Buenos Aires

Twenty-one nights aboard Silver Wind Expedition sail from Puerto Williams on the Beagle Channel through the fjords of Tierra del Fuego, along Argentina's penguin coast and on to Buenos Aires. The ice-strengthened 254-guest vessel carries 18 Zodiacs and combines expedition standards with Silversea comfort: a butler in every suite, the premium onboard concept and Wi-Fi. An expedition team of naturalists, historians and glaciologists accompanies every landing.

Route highlights

  • Puerto Williams: embarkation in the world's southernmost town on the Beagle Channel.
  • Beagle Channel and Glacier Alley: Glaciar Pia, Romanche, Italia and Garibaldi in a single day.
  • Cape Horn: rounding of the historic headland at the entrance to the Drake Passage (weather permitting).
  • Punta Arenas and Ushuaia: the Strait of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego, with Andean peaks behind.
  • Patagonian Atlantic coast: landings at remote penguin and seabird colonies.
  • Puerto Madryn: Valdés Peninsula with Magellanic penguins, sea lions and southern right whales (seasonal).
  • Buenos Aires: disembarkation on the Río de la Plata, with the tango quarters of San Telmo and La Boca.

Early booking advantage: Voyages in 2028 fill quickly - premium cabins are often reserved 18-24 months in advance. An early booking enquiry is non-binding and secures your preferred cabin category.
