The Voyage

French Polynesia from and to Papeete

Fourteen nights round trip from Papeete are enough for the classic Polynesian loop combined with the Tuamotu and possibly the Cook or Marquesas Islands. Silver Whisper links Bora Bora's lagoon postcards with the vanilla plantations of Taha'a, the Taputapuātea marae on Raiatea and quiet atolls further east. Polynesian sounds, lectures and curated tastings shape the sea days. Butler, complimentary premium wines and tipping included are simply part of Silversea life.

Route highlights

  • The lagoon of Bora Bora and Mount Otemanu
  • Cook's Bay and Opunohu on Moorea
  • The sacred Taputapuātea marae on Raiatea
  • Vanilla plantations of Taha'a and calm Huahine
  • Atoll days in Rangiroa or Fakarava
  • Optional Aitutaki or Marquesas stops
  • Silversea all-inclusive with butler and premium wines

Early booking advantage: Voyages in 2028 fill quickly - premium cabins are often reserved 18-24 months in advance. An early booking enquiry is non-binding and secures your preferred cabin category.

The capital of Tahiti on the north-west coast of the main island of French Polynesia is the gateway to the South Seas. It combines a colourful market scene at the Marché de Pape'ete with pearl jewellery boutiques, creole cafés and the harbourside roulottes food stalls. Papeete is the start and end point of almost every Polynesia cruise.

    Raiatea

    Tahuata
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 17:00

The smallest inhabited island of the Marquesas in French Polynesia is known for its bone and wood carving traditions and its well-preserved tikis. Alvaro de Mendaña landed here in 1595, making it the first part of Polynesia visited by Europeans.
