The Voyage

Japan from and to Tokyo

Twelve nights aboard Silver Muse link Tokyo with the cultural heavyweights of Japan and South Korea. The route hugs the Pacific coast via Kobe and Hiroshima to Busan, crosses the Yellow Sea and returns through Nagasaki and the Inland Sea to Tokyo. Silversea looks after everything that matters on board, with butler service in every suite, premium wines at table and Wi-Fi and gratuities included. That leaves time ashore for temples, tea ceremonies and harbour markets. A voyage that distils tradition and modernity into twelve measured stages.

Route highlights

  • Tokyo: A metropolis of shrines and skyscrapers, the perfect opening and closing chord.
  • Kobe: Gateway to Kyoto and Nara, with regional Wagyu beef and sake.
  • Hiroshima: Peace Memorial Park, the Genbaku Dome and the floating torii of Miyajima.
  • Busan: South Korea's harbour city with Jagalchi fish market and Buddhist temples above the coast.
  • Nagasaki: Christian heritage, Dutch traces and the Glover Garden above the bay.
  • Kanazawa: Samurai quarter, Kenroku-en and refined gold-leaf craftsmanship.

Early booking advantage: Voyages in 2027 fill quickly - premium cabins are often reserved 18-24 months in advance. An early booking enquiry is non-binding and secures your preferred cabin category.

Tokyo is the largest metropolitan area on Earth. Tsukiji market, the quiet Asakusa district with Senso-ji Temple, the pop worlds of Shibuya and Akihabara, plus the view from the Skytree (634 m) - Tokyo combines centuries-old tradition with a high-tech future.

Kobe is the gateway to one of the finest day trips in Japan: Kyoto lies just 35 minutes away by Shinkansen - with the Arashiyama bamboo grove, the Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion and the Fushimi Inari Shrine with its thousands of orange torii. Kobe itself is Japan's Wagyu beef capital.
