The Voyage

Monte Carlo to Lisbon

Twelve nights aboard Silver Dawn sail from Monte Carlo along the southern European coast to Lisbon. The route links the Italian Tyrrhenian Sea with the UNESCO treasures of Andalusia and ends at the Tagus estuary. The 596-guest modern-class vessel offers spacious suites with butler service, premium wines and spirits, Wi-Fi and gratuities in its all-inclusive. Long port stays allow day trips into the hinterland.

Route highlights

  • Monte Carlo: embarkation in the Principality of Monaco with Casino Garnier and the old town of Monaco-Ville.
  • Livorno: gateway to Tuscany, with day excursions to Florence and Pisa.
  • Rome (Civitavecchia): ancient sites and the Vatican in the Italian capital.
  • Palma de Mallorca: La Seu Gothic cathedral and the Mallorcan old town.
  • Cádiz: Phoenician port of Andalusia, gateway to Seville and Jerez.
  • Lisbon: disembarkation at the Tagus estuary, with Alfama and the Belém Tower.

Early booking advantage: Voyages in 2027 fill quickly - premium cabins are often reserved 18-24 months in advance. An early booking enquiry is non-binding and secures your preferred cabin category.

The heart of Monaco combines luxury, elegance and history in the smallest of spaces: the famous Casino, the Grand Prix circuit through the streets, Jacques Cousteau's Oceanographic Museum and one of the most modern yacht harbours in the Mediterranean.

    Marseille
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 18:00

Marseille is France's oldest port (founded by the Phocaeans in 600 BC) and was European Capital of Culture in 2013. The Vieux Port with its fish stalls, MuCEM and the towering Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde above the city give Marseille its Mediterranean character.

  • WED · 17 Nov 2027
    Sète
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 18:00

Sète lies on France's Mediterranean coast in the Hérault department, between open sea and the Étang de Thau lagoon. The canal town is France's second-largest fishing port and the birthplace of Paul Valéry and Georges Brassens.

  • THU · 18 Nov 2027
    Barcelona
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 00:00

Gaudí's Sagrada Família and Park Güell, the lively Las Ramblas boulevard, the Gothic Old Town: Barcelona is the most creative city in the Mediterranean. The Olympic Port marina sits right next to city life.

Valencia is home to the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias - an architectural landmark by Calatrava in the city's former riverbed. The Old Town with the Silk Exchange (UNESCO World Heritage) and the Gothic cathedral, said to house the Holy Grail, deserves a leisurely exploration.

  • SUN · 21 Nov 2027
    Cartagena
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 18:00

Cartagena is a port city on the Spanish Mediterranean coast in the Murcia region and home to one of the country's principal naval bases. Carthaginians, Romans and Moors all shaped the bay, and the Roman theatre from the time of Augustus, rediscovered in the city centre, is among the most impressive in Spain.

  • MON · 22 Nov 2027
    Málaga (Costa del Sol)
    Arrival 09:00 Departure 19:00

On the Costa del Sol in Andalusia on Spain's southern Mediterranean coast lies Málaga at the foot of the El Torcal mountains. Birthplace of Pablo Picasso, the city is today a major cultural hub with the Picasso Museum, the Moorish Alcazaba from the 11th century, the Roman theatre ruins and a lively harbour quarter around the Muelle Uno.

  • TUE · 23 Nov 2027
    Tangier
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 18:00

Tangier sits on the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Atlantic and the Mediterranean meet. The medina with its narrow lanes, the kasbah above the harbour and the unique play of light between two continents drew painters such as Henri Matisse here.

  • WED · 24 Nov 2027
    Casablanca
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 18:00

Casablanca is Morocco's economic heart. The Hassan II Mosque on the Atlantic (one of the tallest minarets in the world at 210 m), the Art Deco architecture of the city centre and the charm of the Quartier Habous make Casablanca North Africa's most modern city.
