The Voyage

Miami to Long Beach

Eighteen nights from Miami to Long Beach aboard Silver Dawn run from Caribbean Cartagena through the Panama Canal to Mexico's Pacific coast and on to California. Silver Dawn is a 596-guest ship of the Muse class with butler service, eight restaurants and the S.A.L.T. culinary concept. The route combines a UNESCO old town, one of the most significant works of maritime engineering, tropical Central America and Mexico's Pacific shoreline before arriving in greater Los Angeles. A passage that links climates, oceans and cultures.

Route highlights

  • Cartagena: Colombia's UNESCO World Heritage Site with fortified walls, Castillo San Felipe and a cobblestoned old town.
  • Panama Canal: Transit through the historic waterway with the Gatun Locks, the Miraflores Locks and Gatún Lake.
  • Puntarenas: Costa Rica's Pacific gateway, with access to Carara National Park and the green hinterland.
  • Puerto Quetzal: Gateway to Guatemala's Mayan highlands, Antigua Guatemala and the volcanic panorama.
  • Puerto Vallarta: A Mexican Pacific bay set against the Sierra Madre, with a colonial core and the Bay of Banderas.
  • San Diego: First US Pacific stop, with the Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park and a Californian Mediterranean climate.
  • Long Beach: Destination port in the greater Los Angeles area, with the historic Queen Mary as its landmark.
