Bergen → Oslo
This seven-night voyage aboard Le Lapérouse runs in early summer from Bergen along the southern Norwegian coast to Oslo on the Oslofjord. The 184-guest Explorer-class ship links the UNESCO fjord landscapes of the west with the timber towns of the Skagerrak. In May the waterfalls peak with snowmelt, the days are long, and the orchard blossom on the Hardangerfjord paints the fjord slopes white and pink. Sixteen Zodiacs allow active landings in the Lysefjord and the Geirangerfjord. Full board, beverages and excursions are part of the premium all-inclusive concept.
Route highlights
- Bergen: Hanseatic city with the Bryggen World Heritage waterfront and the harbour fish market.
- Ålesund: art-nouveau city with a view from Mount Aksla over the island spits.
- Geiranger: UNESCO World Heritage site with the Seven Sisters and Bridal Veil waterfalls.
- Nordfjordeid: gateway to the Nordfjord and the Sagastad Viking hall.
- Lysefjord: Zodiac excursion beneath the 604-metre Preikestolen cliff.
- Arendal: timber town on the Skagerrak around the Pollen harbour basin.
- Oslo: fjord capital with the Munch Museum and the new opera house on the waterfront.

Bergen · Embarkation
Bergen is the gateway to Norway's fjords. The colourful wooden houses of Bryggen on the harbour (UNESCO) tell of the Hanseatic era; Mount Fløyen with its funicular offers panoramic views over the seven-hill city.
-
Alesund
Ålesund on Norway's west coast is the Art Nouveau city par excellence. Completely rebuilt in just three years after a great fire in 1904, Ålesund is regarded today as a unique architectural ensemble - with views from Aksla Hill over the tangle of islands.
-
Geiranger
The Geirangerfjord is one of the most beautiful fjords in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2005. The waterfalls "Seven Sisters", "Suitor" and "Bridal Veil" plunge straight into the fjord; the Dalsnibba viewpoint at 1,476 m offers Norway's most iconic panorama.
-
Nordfjordeid
At the head of the Eidsfjord, a branch of the Nordfjord in western Norway, lies Nordfjordeid in Vestland county. The Viking ship house Sagastad with its replica of the Myklebust ship recalls the town's importance in the Viking era, when one of the largest known Viking ships in Norway was burned here as a royal burial.

-
Skudeneshavn (Karmøy)
At the southern tip of the Norwegian island of Karmøy in Rogaland, Skudeneshavn preserves its 19th-century white wooden houses. The former herring port ranks among Norway's best-preserved timber-built ensembles.
-
Egersund
Egersund lies on Norway's southwestern coast and is one of the country's most important fishing ports. The whitewashed timber old town and the nearby Magma Geopark add to the town's appeal.
-
Arendal
Arendal lies on Norway's south-eastern Skagerrak coast and was the country's largest shipping town in the 19th century. The characteristic white wooden houses of the Tyholmen district recall the wealth of the sailing-ship era and are among Norway's best-preserved of their kind.
