The Voyage

Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Lefkada from/to Zakynthos

This sailing voyage explores the southern Ionian Sea between Zakynthos, Kefalonia and Lefkada. The Rhea sails short daily legs and anchors in sheltered bays each evening, leaving ample time for water sports, a morning swim and time ashore. Three very different islands, linked by clear water and quiet anchorages.

Highlights

  • Zakynthos: the famous bay with its stranded shipwreck and the blue caves in the north.
  • Kefalonia: the white pebble beach of Myrtos and the underground lake of the Melissani cave.
  • Lefkada: the wind-sheltered bays around Nydri and the nearby islet of Meganisi.
  • Return to Zakynthos: a final leg across open water with views of the island’s mountainous backdrop.
Yacht voyage

The finest way to sail: a new anchorage every day, plenty of time for watersports and going ashore, nights at anchor in a quiet bay and a morning swim before moving on.

Early booking advantage: Voyages in 2027 fill quickly - premium cabins are often reserved 18-24 months in advance. An early booking enquiry is non-binding and secures your preferred cabin category.

How the route could go:

  • Zakynthos · Embarkation

Zakynthos is the southernmost of the Ionian Islands. Smugglers Cove with its stranded shipwreck is one of the world's best-known beach motifs; the sheltered Bay of Laganas is a nesting ground for loggerhead turtles.

  • Kefalonia

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands. Myrtos Bay - one of the most photographed beach motifs in Greece - the Drogarati stalactite cave and the underground lake of Melissani (open water beneath a collapsed cave roof) give Kefalonia a uniquely natural character.

  • Lefkada

This Ionian island is connected to the Greek mainland by a narrow bridge and is renowned for its bright white limestone cliffs. The beaches of Porto Katsiki and Egremni are considered among the most spectacular in Greece.
