The Voyage

Cavtat, Korčula, Hvar, Vis, Trogir

This yacht voyage from Cavtat to Trogir links the islands of southern Dalmatia on the way north. Alongside quiet anchorages there are longer passages, some at night, bringing several islands together in one journey.

Highlights

  • Korcula: a walled old town on a spit of land.
  • Hvar: a sunny island town with a Venetian harbour.
  • Vis: a remote island with clear water and quiet bays.
  • Trogir: the canal-girt old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, at the destination.
Distance voyage

A yacht voyage with beautiful stops for watersports and time ashore, but also longer legs sailed in part through the night. For everyone who enjoys the sailing itself.

Early booking advantage: Voyages in 2027 fill quickly - premium cabins are often reserved 18-24 months in advance. An early booking enquiry is non-binding and secures your preferred cabin category.

How the route could go:

Cavtat Korčula Hvar Vis Trogir
5 ports · route · approx. 130 nautical miles
  • Cavtat · Embarkation

Cavtat lies 20 km south of Dubrovnik on a curved bay. The former ancient Epidaurum with remains of the Roman aqueduct, the elegant seafront promenade and the Račić Mausoleum (Ivan Meštrović) make Cavtat the quieter alternative to Dubrovnik.

  • Korčula

Densely wooded Croatian Adriatic island south of Hvar, whose main town prides itself as the alleged birthplace of Marco Polo. The small walled medieval port with herringbone lanes is also known as Little Dubrovnik.

  • Hvar

Hvar is Croatia's sunniest island (2,800 hours of sunshine a year). Its medieval capital, Hvar Town, and the lavender fields inland make it one of the most elegant addresses on the Adriatic. Above the town stands the 16th-century Venetian fortress Fortica (Španjola) - the climb rewards you with a sweeping view over the red rooftops, the harbour and the Pakleni islands. In the evening the harbour turns into an open-air stage, and the legendary Carpe Diem club on the Riva is Hvar's glamorous heart. Just offshore lies the Pakleni island of Sveti Klement with Palmižana marina, whose centrepiece is an open-air art gallery in the subtropical Meneghello garden; a tender or ferry makes it easy to hop between Hvar Town and Palmižana.

  • Vis

Vis is the most remote of the larger Dalmatian islands (60 km off the coast). A military restricted zone until 1989, the island is today an untouched insider tip - the Blue Cave on Biševo, Tito's wartime hideout and the fishing village of Komiža define Vis.

  • Trogir · Disembarkation

Trogir on the Dalmatian coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as one of the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic complexes in Central Europe. The Cathedral of St. Lawrence with the famous west portal by Master Radovan is the highlight.

The route of a sailing voyage may change without giving rise to mutual claims.
