Venice to Rome / Civitavecchia
Eleven nights under white sails between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian Sea. From Venice the Royal Clipper links the Croatian islands, Montenegro and Apulia with Sicily, the Amalfi Coast and Rome, an exceptionally varied Mediterranean route with UNESCO World Heritage sites, volcanic landscapes and mediaeval port towns.

Life on board
The Royal Clipper, with five masts and 42 sails, is one of the largest fully rigged sailing ships in the world. Life aboard is sporty and unhurried: no dress code, open seating in the two-storey dining room, three pools including a glass-floor pool above the Captain Nemo Lounge. Guests are welcome to climb the rigging with the crew, take the helm beside the captain or enjoy the bowsprit net suspended above the water.

Šibenik on the Dalmatian coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Cathedral of St. James (15th/16th century). Four fortresses from the Venetian period frame the city; the nearby Krka National Park with its dramatic waterfalls is a natural highlight.

Dubrovnik
The "Pearl of the Adriatic" is one of Europe's best-preserved medieval cityscapes and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The mighty 13th-century city walls can be walked all the way round - offering panoramic views of the Adriatic and the Dalmatian islands.

At the end of one of the longest fjords in the Adriatic lies Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The fully preserved Venetian city walls and the panoramic view from the Fortress of San Giovanni over the Bay of Kotor are among the most impressive experiences in the Mediterranean.

Monopoli
Monopoli is a lively port town in Apulia, on the Adriatic coast south of Bari. A whitewashed old town, a baroque cathedral and the old harbour full of fishing boats define the scene.

Syracuse on the east coast of Sicily was once among the most powerful cities of Greek antiquity. The old-town island of Ortygia, with its Temple of Apollo and the Arethusa spring, forms its historic heart.

Sorrento looks out from a tufa cliff over the Bay of Naples, facing Vesuvius. Limoncello, lemon groves and the narrow pedestrian streets of the Centro Storico make it the most charming base for excursions to Pompeii, Capri and the Amalfi Coast.

Ponza is the largest of the Pontine Islands off the coast of Lazio. Turquoise grottoes, steep pumice cliffs and a small lively harbour village make it a hidden favourite of the Tyrrhenian yachting world.

Palmarola
West of Ponza in the Tyrrhenian Sea, this uninhabited island of the Pontine group floats in turquoise water. Jagged white cliffs, sea caves and secluded coves make the marine reserve a quiet favourite for sailors off the coast of Lazio.
