The Voyage

Anchorage to Vancouver

Aboard Silver Whisper you sail seven nights from Anchorage to Vancouver, past ice walls, through ancient rainforests and into harbours whose history speaks of fur trade and gold. The route distils the best of southeast Alaska: calving glaciers, migrating whales and Tlingit culture beneath towering totem poles. Silversea offers premium all-inclusive cruising, with a butler in every suite and curated wines, premium spirits, WiFi and gratuities included. That leaves you time for long summer evenings on your private veranda.

Route highlights

  • Embarkation at Seward with panoramas of the Chugach Mountains
  • Hubbard Glacier with thunderous calving in Disenchantment Bay
  • Sitka, former capital of Russian America, with St Michael's Cathedral
  • Juneau and the Mendenhall Glacier with walks at the ice edge
  • Ketchikan with Saxman totem poles and salmon ladders
  • Whale and eagle sightings along the Inside Passage
  • Arrival in Vancouver with Stanley Park and Coast Mountains as backdrop
⌛

Early booking advantage: Voyages in 2027 fill quickly - premium cabins are often reserved 18-24 months in advance. An early booking enquiry is non-binding and secures your preferred cabin category.

    Juneau
    Arrival 11:30 Departure 22:30

Juneau is the only US state capital that cannot be reached by road - only by ship or aircraft. The Mendenhall Glacier reaching to the edge of town and whale watching directly off the harbour make Juneau one of the most impressive Alaska stops.

    Haines
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 17:00

In south-east Alaska on North America's deepest fjord, the Lynn Canal, Haines nestles against the Chilkat Range mountains. The town at the entrance to the Chilkoot Valley hosts thousands of bald eagles along the Chilkat River each autumn and serves as the gateway to Glacier Bay National Park and historic Fort Seward.

  • MON · 28 Jun 2027
    Sitka
    Arrival 09:00 Departure 18:00

Sitka was the capital of Russian America until the US purchase in 1867. The Russian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Michael, the Tlingit heritage of the indigenous people and the surrounding rainforest of the Tongass National Forest make Sitka the most culturally layered town in Alaska.

    Klawock
    Arrival 06:30 Departure 12:00

Small Tlingit community on Prince of Wales Island in south-east Alaska, on Klawock Inlet within the Tongass National Forest. The totem park on the edge of the village displays 21 historic Tlingit poles alongside a traditional salmon cannery.
