The Voyage

Monte Carlo to Venice (Fusina)

Eight nights connect the Côte d'Azur with the Venetian Lagoon. Silver Ray leaves Monte Carlo, crosses the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian seas and reaches the upper Adriatic via the Strait of Otranto. Personal butler service, premium wines, complimentary Wi-Fi and included gratuities are part of the Silversea concept. Mid-June brings warm early-summer days and water temperatures around 24 degrees. The route is a classic western-Mediterranean-to-Adriatic repositioning of the summer season.

Route highlights

  • Departure from Monte Carlo on the Côte d'Azur
  • Transition from the Tyrrhenian Sea into the Adriatic
  • Premium all-inclusive service aboard Silver Ray
  • Early summer with water temperatures around 24 degrees
  • Arrival in the lagoon of Venice
⌛

    Valletta
    Arrival 09:00 Departure 18:00

The capital of Malta is one of the smallest yet richest capitals in the world. A UNESCO World Heritage baroque city, it has more museums and churches per square kilometre than any other city; Grand Harbour is one of the finest natural harbours in the Mediterranean.

  • MON · 21 Jun 2027
    Giardini Naxos
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 18:00

Taormina sits on a rocky spur above the Ionian Sea and is considered Sicily's most beautiful town. The Greco-Roman theatre with Mount Etna in the background is one of the most spectacular ancient settings; the landing point is Giardini-Naxos at the foot of the hill.

  • TUE · 22 Jun 2027
    Gallipoli
    Arrival 08:30 Departure 17:00

Gallipoli (Italian for "beautiful city") on Apulia's Salentino coast juts out on a rocky island into the sea. Baroque houses, the bustle of the fresh fish market and the surrounding beaches make Gallipoli the southernmost gem of Italy.

  • WED · 23 Jun 2027
    Dubrovnik
    Arrival 09:00 Departure 23:00

The "Pearl of the Adriatic" is one of Europe's best-preserved medieval cityscapes and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The mighty 13th-century city walls can be walked all the way round - offering panoramic views of the Adriatic and the Dalmatian islands.

  • THU · 24 Jun 2027
    Hvar
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 21:00

Hvar is Croatia's sunniest island (2,800 hours of sunshine a year). Its medieval capital, Hvar Town, and the lavender fields inland make it one of the most elegant addresses on the Adriatic. Above the town stands the 16th-century Venetian fortress Fortica (Španjola) - the climb rewards you with a sweeping view over the red rooftops, the harbour and the Pakleni islands. In the evening the harbour turns into an open-air stage, and the legendary Carpe Diem club on the Riva is Hvar's glamorous heart. Just offshore lies the Pakleni island of Sveti Klement with Palmižana marina, whose centrepiece is an open-air art gallery in the subtropical Meneghello garden; a tender or ferry makes it easy to hop between Hvar Town and Palmižana.

  • FRI · 25 Jun 2027
    Zadar
    Arrival 08:00 Departure 17:00

Zadar on the Croatian Adriatic coast has Roman roots. The Sea Organ (waves create music through built-in pipes) and the "Greeting to the Sun" (300 solar-powered glass panels) at the waterfront are modern art installations of world renown.
