It leaves the high Arctic and follows a long line across the polar sea and the North Atlantic to Iceland. Ice permitting, landings along the Icelandic coast are possible. The PC6 expedition ship allows Zodiac trips in expedition style. Premium all-inclusive means butler service, premium wines, gratuities and Wi-Fi already included.

Route highlights

  • Polar-sea leg heading south
  • Approach to Iceland
  • Zodiac trips led by the expedition team
  • Lectures between Arctic and Atlantic
  • Arrival in Reykjavík
  • Premium all-inclusive with butler service

Early booking advantage: Voyages in 2027 fill quickly - premium cabins are often reserved 18-24 months in advance. An early booking enquiry is non-binding and secures your preferred cabin category.

Longyearbyen on Svalbard is the world's northernmost town with a permanent civilian population (78° N). The former coal-mining settlement is today the gateway to the Arctic - dog sledding, winter aurora, midnight sun in summer and the Svalbard Global Seed Vault.

  • TUE · 20 Jul 2027
    Svalbard Northern Region

Northern Svalbard is one of the last refuges of the polar bear - up to 3,000 of these animals live on the archipelago. Glacier ice dominates the coastal landscape; walruses rest on ice floes, humpback whales feed in the nutrient-rich Arctic waters. In summer there is 24-hour daylight.

In the North Atlantic between Greenland and Norway rises the lonely Norwegian volcanic island of Jan Mayen from the stormy sea. Grundarfjörður
