King George Island → Puerto Williams
Silver Endeavour, with PC6 polar ice class and only 200 guests, starts from King George Island and links the Antarctic Peninsula with South Georgia and the return passage to Puerto Williams. The higher ice class allows entry to bays beyond the reach of lower-rated ships. The beaches of South Georgia at St Andrews Bay and Salisbury Plain host king penguin colonies in six-figure numbers. For embarkation in King George Island the best time to sail is November to March (Antarctic summer, the only season); for disembarkation in Puerto Williams it is November to March (southern summer).

Antarctica is the last continent on Earth without permanent human settlement - a unique ecosystem of ice, ocean and wildlife protected by international agreement.
The Antarctic Treaty (in force since 1961) dedicates the continent to peace and science and prohibits any military or commercial exploitation. The IAATO (International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators) translates these principles into practical visitor rules: defined landing sites, maximum group sizes, strict biosecurity, minimum wildlife distances, no souvenirs.
