Dakar to Gran Canaria
Ten nights aboard Le Dumont d'Urville take you from West Africa via Cape Verde and the Canary Islands back to Gran Canaria. You begin in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, gain distance from the African mainland and reach Cape Verde with Praia and Mindelo. The western Canaries follow, with La Palma, Tenerife and the small, rarely visited El Hierro and its port of Puerto de la Estaca. Lanzarote shows the volcanic landscape of Timanfaya before the voyage ends on Gran Canaria.
