Adriatic from/to Venice
Seven nights under white sails through the eastern Adriatic, one of Europe’s most varied coastlines: more than 1,200 islands, mediaeval harbour towns from Venetian times and the Bay of Kotor as the only fjord-like landscape of the Mediterranean. From Venice, the Royal Clipper calls at five Croatian and Montenegrin ports, each with its own character.

Life on board
The Royal Clipper, with five masts and 42 sails, is one of the largest fully rigged sailing ships in the world. Life aboard is sporty and unhurried: no dress code, open seating in the two-storey dining room, three pools including a glass-floor pool above the Captain Nemo Lounge. Guests are welcome to climb the rigging with the crew, take the helm beside the captain or enjoy the bowsprit net suspended above the water.

At the end of one of the longest fjords in the Adriatic lies Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The fully preserved Venetian city walls and the panoramic view from the Fortress of San Giovanni over the Bay of Kotor are among the most impressive experiences in the Mediterranean.

Komiza
Komiža on the Croatian island of Vis was once an important centre of Adriatic sardine fishing. The town with its Venetian architecture, the nearby Blue Cave (Modra špilja) on Biševo and the cave where Tito hid in 1944 is authentic Dalmatia.

Rovinj
Rovinj is the most romantic Adriatic town in Istria: Venetian Old Town houses on a peninsula, crowned by the Church of St Euphemia. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Venice from its tower.
