Setting the Pattern for a New Generation
Silver Muse joined the fleet in 2017 as the first ship to introduce what became the standard Silversea configuration for the following decade: eight dining venues, all-suite accommodation, butler service throughout, and the S.A.L.T. destination-driven food programme. Later ships have refined or extended this formula, but the Muse established it, and she remains a very well-proportioned ship for 632 guests with a crew of 415.
Her 40,700 gross tonnes place her in a comfortable middle register – large enough to offer genuine variety in public spaces and dining options, compact enough that the atmosphere retains a degree of intimacy that disappears on the mass-market segment.
Eight Dining Venues
The eight options cover the full range from informal to formal. The Restaurant is the ship’s main dining room, open for all three daily meals. La Terrazza serves Italian cuisine in an indoor-outdoor setting. Kaiseki focuses on Japanese cooking – a considered choice rather than a token addition, with menus that reflect the tradition properly. Spaccanapoli is the ship’s Neapolitan pizzeria and antipasti bar. La Dame operates as the French fine-dining room. The poolside Grill handles informal meals throughout the day. Silver Note pairs dinner with live jazz. S.A.L.T. Kitchen – added to the fleet concept that Silver Muse helped define – serves menus connected to the current destination. All eight venues are included in the voyage fare.
S.A.L.T. at Sea
The S.A.L.T. Bar and Lab complement the kitchen concept: the bar produces cocktails inspired by regional spirits and recipes; the Lab runs cooking classes for guests who want to learn rather than simply eat. S.A.L.T. Shore Excursions coordinate visits to food producers and markets ashore, connecting the experience on board with the destination on land.
Accommodation and Amenities
All suites carry private verandas (or balconies on higher categories) and butler service. The Zagara Beauty Spa offers nine treatment rooms. The Observation Library is positioned for open-ocean views. Multiple lounges, a casino, and a full boutique complete the public area offering. Wi-Fi, drinks, and gratuities are included across the fleet; the Door-to-Door option covers flights and transfers.
Where She Sails
Silver Muse operates a broad global programme: the Mediterranean in spring and summer, Caribbean and Central America in winter, with Alaska, Southeast Asia, and French Polynesia featuring in the annual calendar. The breadth of itinerary reflects the ship’s design as an all-conditions, all-latitudes vessel rather than one optimised for a single region.
