Glasgow (Greenock) to Bordeaux
Eight nights from Greenock on the Firth of Clyde to Bordeaux on the Garonne link Scotland, Northern Ireland, Cornwall, Brittany and the French Atlantic coast. Le Lapérouse calls at ports such as Portrush, Cobh and Fowey, which rarely appear together on a single itinerary. To the south, the Bay of Biscay opens up, and the Garonne carries the ship upstream past Pauillac to Bordeaux. The marina platform and Zodiacs allow landings in Cornwall and Brittany.

On a peninsula along the north coast of Northern Ireland in County Antrim, this Victorian seaside resort is framed by sandy beaches and cliffs. Within reach lie the Giant's Causeway with its hexagonal basalt columns and the Royal Portrush Golf Club, host of the Open Championship.

Warrenpoint
Warrenpoint sits in southern Northern Ireland on Carlingford Lough, right on the border with the Republic of Ireland. Set against the Mourne Mountains, it grew from a Victorian seaside resort into a small cargo port.

Cobh
Cobh sits on one of the largest natural harbours in the world on the southern coast of Ireland in County Cork. In 1912 the port was the final port of call of the Titanic before her Atlantic crossing, and between 1848 and 1950 around 2.5 million Irish people emigrated overseas from here.

Fowey
On Cornwall's southern coast in England, the historic port of Fowey nestles around the deeply indented mouth of its namesake river. The town was once home to novelist Daphne du Maurier, whose works such as Rebecca are set here, and today is a popular sailing harbour with smugglers' lanes.

On the northern coast of French Brittany in the Finistère department on the English Channel, this port town shows off its corsair past and Onion Johnnies tradition. 16th-century granite buildings, a tidal harbour and the ferry link to Plymouth and Cork define the town.

On a narrow 14-kilometre peninsula in southern French Brittany in the Morbihan department, this port town combines rugged Atlantic storm coast on its western side with calm beaches in the east. Ferries depart here for Belle-Île, the largest island in Brittany.
