An early autumn sailing voyage aboard the Eye of the Wind blends traditional seafaring with the comfort of a classic brig. Over seven nights you explore the lovely sailing waters of Kiel Bay and the Danish islands, where Baltic winds, wide horizons and quiet anchorages set the rhythm of the passage.
After the welcome dinner at Kiel-Holtenau, the brig passes the Friedrichsort lighthouse and heads out into the Baltic, within sight of the naval memorial at Laboe. Off Fehmarn, calling at Burgstaaken (Fehmarn), she crosses into Danish waters and follows the south coast of Lolland to the medieval town of Nysted. Depending on wind and weather, Gedser on Falster or Rødbyhavn may serve as further destinations. Rounding the Falster peninsula and the chalk cliffs of Møn, the Eye of the Wind sets a northerly course through the Sound. The destination is the harbour of Copenhagen, where the evening draws to a close in the Nyhavn quarter. The captain decides the exact ports of call each day according to conditions.
Included: Seven nights in a comfortable double cabin, full board with all meals as well as water, coffee and tea, use of the saloon with TV, DVD player and on-board library, hot and cold running water, shower and WC, bed linen and towels, and air conditioning in the cabin.
Not included: Travel to and from the ports, shore excursions, and soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.
