From Danzig to Warnemünde
Embarkation: 06.09.2026, 19:00 in Gdańsk
Disembarkation: 14.09.2026, 10:00 in Warnemünde
Eight nights under sail aboard the Eye of the Wind lead from the Hanseatic city of Gdańsk right across the Baltic to the coast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The voyage explores the watery world between Western Pomerania and southern Sweden, with wind and weather setting the precise course. Soon after casting off, the skyline of Gdańsk with its church towers, warehouses and shipyard cranes falls astern, while the coastline unfolds with long sandy beaches, dunes and pine forests.
From the Bay of Gdańsk the Eye of the Wind sets a course across the Bornholm Sea. Depending on wind and weather, intermediate calls are possible, for instance at the Danish island of Bornholm with the harbour of Rønne (Bornholm), at Ystad in southern Sweden or at Sassnitz (Rügen). Between the harbours lie long stretches under sail across the open Baltic, where guests are welcome to lend a hand setting and stowing the sails. Steering towards the German mainland, the voyage approaches the coastal landscape of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and finally reaches Warnemünde.
Included: eight nights in a double cabin, full board with all meals as well as water, coffee and tea, use of the saloon with library, cabins with shower and WC, bed linen, towels and air conditioning.
Not included: travel to and from the ports, shore excursions as well as soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.

Warnemünde
How the route could go:
-
Danzig · Embarkation
Danzig (Gdańsk) lies at the mouth of the Motława on the Gulf of Gdańsk on the Polish Baltic coast. Its reconstructed old town with rich merchant houses along the Long Embankment is a landmark of its Hanseatic past, while in its shipyard in 1980 the Solidarity movement set off the collapse of communist rule in Eastern Europe.
-
Rønne (Bornholm)
Rønne is the largest town on the Danish Baltic island of Bornholm.
-
Ystad
Ystad sits on the southern coast of Sweden in the historic province of Scania, on the Baltic shore. 16th-century timber-framed houses shape the old town, while ferries run from the harbour to Bornholm and Poland.
-
Sassnitz (Rügen)
On the eastern side of the German Baltic island of Rügen, Sassnitz looks out onto the chalk cliffs of Jasmund National Park. The harbour is a starting point for ferry routes to Scandinavia.
-
Warnemünde · Disembarkation
Warnemünde is the port for Rostock and lies on the Baltic with a long white sand beach right behind the lighthouse. Excursions lead to Rostock and the Hanseatic city or inland to the castle and old town of Schwerin (UNESCO World Heritage).
