Athens (Piraeus)

Nea Marina

Piraeus is the gateway to Athens, Europe's oldest major city. The Acropolis with the Parthenon has towered over the city for 2,500 years - surrounded by a lively café culture and one of the finest fish markets in the Aegean.

Leg 2

Rhodes

Ios

Rhodes combines ancient and medieval history in a unique way. The Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights Hospitaller in the UNESCO-listed Old Town is one of the best-preserved knightly castles in the Mediterranean. Excursions lead to Lindos with its acropolis on a rocky spur above the sea.

Leg 3

Bodrum

Bodrum mit traditioneller Gulet und Kreuzritterburg St. Peter, Türkei

Bodrum (ancient Halicarnassus) was the site of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World (the Mausoleum). Today the town is Turkey's most stylish yachting destination, with whitewashed hotels, a Cycladic-feeling old town and the Crusader castle on the harbour.

Leg 4

Dalyan

Enge Gasse mit weißen Häusern und Blumen auf einer Kykladeninsel

Dalyan lies in the south-western Turkish province of Muğla, where the eponymous river winds through a vast labyrinth of reeds between Lake Köyceğiz and the Mediterranean. Above the boat trips loom the rock-cut Lycian tombs of ancient Kaunos, and on the offshore İztuzu beach loggerhead turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.

Leg 5

Santorini

Santorini 4

Santorini - properly Thira - sits on the rim of an extinct volcanic crater. The white houses of Fira and Oia with their blue domes, the breathtaking view into the caldera and the deep-black volcanic sand of its beaches make this one of the most iconic destinations in the Mediterranean.

Leg 6

Hydra

Der Hafen von Hydra mit seinen Kapitänshäusern

Hydra is one of the few islands in the world without cars - donkeys, muleteers and water taxis are the only forms of transport. The historic harbour town of whitewashed captains' houses was one of the most important trading centres of the Aegean in the 19th century.

Leg 7

Athens (Piraeus)

Weißes Inselstädtchen über einem kleinen Hafen

Piraeus is the gateway to Athens, Europe's oldest major city. The Acropolis with the Parthenon has towered over the city for 2,500 years - surrounded by a lively café culture and one of the finest fish markets in the Aegean.
