Málaga on the Costa del Sol was once a Phoenician trading port and is today one of the most dynamic cultural cities in Andalusia. The Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum (Picasso was born here) and the historic cathedral define the cityscape.

Santa Cruz das Flores is the main settlement of the Azorean island of Flores, the westernmost island of Europe in the Atlantic. The island owes its name to its lush display of hydrangeas and is marked by waterfalls, crater lakes and steep green cliffs.
Ponta Delgada on São Miguel is the capital of the Azores. Excursions lead to the Sete Cidades crater with its two differently coloured crater lakes (blue and green) and to Furnas with its hot sulphur springs and caldera lake. The "green island" is shaped by volcanic wildness throughout.
Bantry is a small port town at the head of the deeply incised bay of the same name in south-west Ireland in County Cork. The stately 18th-century Bantry House overlooks the bay with terraced gardens and houses an important collection of European art.
The Cliffs of Moher plunge sheer for up to 214 metres into the Atlantic along eight kilometres of County Clare on the west coast of Ireland. In their upper ledges more than 30,000 breeding pairs nest, including one of Ireland's largest puffin colonies.
Off Ireland's south-western coast, the two rocky Skellig Islands rise sharply from the Atlantic. Early medieval monastic cells on Skellig Michael recall a stark religious tradition and form a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Ballinskelligs is a coastal village in County Kerry in south-west Ireland on the Ring of Kerry. It is the launch point for boat trips to the UNESCO-listed Skellig Islands, whose steep 6th-century rock monasteries served as filming locations for the latest Star Wars films.
Cobh sits on one of the largest natural harbours in the world on the southern coast of Ireland in County Cork. In 1912 the port was the final port of call of the Titanic before her Atlantic crossing, and between 1848 and 1950 around 2.5 million Irish people emigrated overseas from here.
Dublin is the starting point for Ireland's wildest coastal landscapes. Excursions head to the Cliffs of Moher (214 m above the Atlantic) and to Newgrange - a megalithic tomb more than 5,000 years old, older than Stonehenge and Egypt's pyramids. The Guinness Storehouse and the Book of Kells at Trinity College are city must-sees.
