Ketchikan is Alaska's southernmost fjord harbour and the world capital of salmon. Creek Street on stilts above the water, the Tlingit totem poles and the famous Misty Fjords in the hinterland make Ketchikan a classic Inside Passage stop.
Tracy Arm is a long, narrow fjord in south-eastern Alaska, around 70 kilometres south of Juneau. It is famed for the South and North Sawyer Glaciers at its head and for sheer granite walls streaked with waterfalls.
Skagway was the gateway to the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898. The historic main street of wooden houses, the White Pass and Yukon Route Railway through dramatic mountain landscapes and the pioneer history make Skagway the most atmospheric Alaska harbour.
Icy Bay is a remote bay in southern Alaska, fed by several glaciers descending from the Saint Elias Mountains. Drifting ice, seals and rugged wilderness define the experience.
Valdez lies in southern Alaska on Prince William Sound, surrounded by the ice-capped peaks of the Chugach Range. The town is the terminus of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline coming down from Prudhoe Bay.
