Adria – türkise Bucht an der dalmatinischen Küste

Leg 3 · Tue, 20.10.

Rijeka

Adria – Segelboote in einer Bucht

On the Kvarner Bay in north-western Croatia at the foot of the Učka mountains, this port town is Croatia's largest cargo harbour. Habsburg heritage, the Art Nouveau Korzo main promenade and a vibrant cultural scene made Rijeka European Capital of Culture in 2020.

Leg 4 · Thu, 22.10.

Dubrovnik

Aerial view of Dubrovnik, Croatia

The "Pearl of the Adriatic" is one of Europe's best-preserved medieval cityscapes and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The mighty 13th-century city walls can be walked all the way round - offering panoramic views of the Adriatic and the Dalmatian islands.

Leg 5 · Fri, 23.10.

Bari

Polignano a Mare (BA, Italy): heaven on earth

Bari is the capital of Apulia on Italy's Adriatic coast. The old town of Bari Vecchia, the orecchiette pasta makers in front of their doorsteps and the Basilica of San Nicola (a pilgrimage site for Orthodox Christians from around the world) make Bari authentic.

Leg 6 · Mon, 26.10.

Gythion

Ios

Gythion (Gythio) on the Mani peninsula of the Peloponnese once served as Sparta's port. The picturesque pastel-coloured houses along the harbour, the islet of Cranae (mythological love nest of Paris and Helen before their flight to Troy) and the Cycladic atmosphere make Gythion an unsung beauty of southern Greece.

Souda Bay (Crete)

Beautiful Greece series - panaorama of picturesque old town Chania. Crete island

Near the town of Chania on the northern coast of the Greek island of Crete lies Souda Bay. It ranks among the largest natural harbours in the Mediterranean and today also serves as an important NATO naval base.
