Nice

Ibiza Bucht

Leg 2 · Mon, 31.08.

Marseille

Saint Jean Castle and Cathedral de la Major in Marseille

Marseille is France's oldest port (founded by the Phocaeans in 600 BC) and was European Capital of Culture in 2013. The Vieux Port with its fish stalls, MuCEM and the towering Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde above the city give Marseille its Mediterranean character.

Leg 3 · Tue, 01.09.

Sète

Klippen mit türkisfarbener Grotte im Mittelmeer

Sète lies on France's Mediterranean coast in the Hérault department, between open sea and the Étang de Thau lagoon. The canal town is France's second-largest fishing port and the birthplace of Paul Valéry and Georges Brassens.

Leg 4 · Wed, 02.09.

Barcelona

Ruhige Ankerbucht mit Segelbooten im Mittelmeer

Gaudí's Sagrada Família and Park Güell, the lively Las Ramblas boulevard, the Gothic Old Town: Barcelona is the most creative city in the Mediterranean. The Olympic Port marina sits right next to city life.

Leg 5 · Fri, 04.09.

Malaga (Costa del Sol)

Málaga on the Costa del Sol was once a Phoenician trading port and is today one of the most dynamic cultural cities in Andalusia. The Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum (Picasso was born here) and the historic cathedral define the cityscape.

Leg 6 · Sat, 05.09.

Gibraltar

gibraltar-2

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory at the foot of the striking limestone rock that guards the strait. The Barbary macaques (Europe's only wild monkey population), St Michael's stalactite cave and the view across to Africa 14 km away make Gibraltar unique.

Leg 7 · Sun, 06.09.

Sevilla

Seville is the capital of Andalusia and the birthplace of flamenco, tapas culture and bullfighting. The Cathedral (the third largest in the world), the Alcázar palace (UNESCO) and the Santa Cruz quarter with its white houses and orange trees shape the city.

Leg 8 · Wed, 09.09. · Disembarkation

Lissabon

Lissabon - Turm von Belém im Abendlicht

Built on seven hills, Lisbon blends a southern European sense of life with a great history of discovery. From the Tower of Belém, Vasco da Gama and other navigators set out into the unknown - yellow trams and the melancholic Fado still tell the tale today.
