In the Gulf of Tonkin in northern Vietnam, Ha Long Bay rises from the turquoise sea with its over 1,600 karst islands. The UNESCO World Heritage Site enchants with emerald waters, mysterious limestone grottoes such as Sung Sot Cave and floating fishing villages that maintain their traditional way of life.
Hong Kong blends Chinese tradition with British colonial heritage and global modernity. The view from Victoria Peak over Asia's densest skyline, the Wong Tai Sin Temple and the historic Po Lin monastery with the Big Buddha on Lantau Island are among the city's finest.
