Singapore

Aerial panorama of a small, beautiful tropical island (Mergui Archipelago)

Singapore is a city-state, harbour and one of the most fascinating metropolises in Asia. Gardens by the Bay, the infinity pool of Marina Bay Sands and the Botanic Gardens (UNESCO World Heritage) combine ultramodern architecture with tropical nature.

Leg 2 · Mon, 17.01.

Ho Chi Minh City

Bird eye view of Angthong national marine park, koh Samui, Thailand

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is the economic heart of Vietnam. Excursions head to the Cu Chi Tunnels - a 250 km underground tunnel system of the Viet Cong - or to the Mekong Delta 90 km away, with its floating markets and boat villages among rice paddies and mangroves.

Nha Trang

Weißer Strand mit Granitfelsen auf einer thailändischen Insel

On Vietnam's south-eastern coast in Khánh Hòa province, Nha Trang fronts the South China Sea at the entrance of a sheltered bay. A six-kilometre-long beach, offshore islands such as Hòn Mun and the 8th-century Po Nagar Cham towers make the city a popular seaside resort on the Vietnamese Riviera.

Leg 4 · Sat, 22.01.

Chan May (Hue/Danang)

Bewaldete Karstinseln im tropischen Meer

Chan May is a deep-water port on Vietnam's central coast roughly halfway between Hue and Da Nang. From the pier it is a short drive to imperial Hue, the historic merchant town of Hoi An and the Marble Mountains with their cave temples.

Leg 5 · Mon, 24.01.

Ha Long Bay

Blick durch tropisches Laub auf eine Kalksteinbucht

In the Gulf of Tonkin in northern Vietnam, Ha Long Bay rises from the turquoise sea with its over 1,600 karst islands. The UNESCO World Heritage Site enchants with emerald waters, mysterious limestone grottoes such as Sung Sot Cave and floating fishing villages that maintain their traditional way of life.

Leg 6 · Thu, 27.01. · Disembarkation

Hong Kong

China HongKong 623

Hong Kong blends Chinese tradition with British colonial heritage and global modernity. The view from Victoria Peak over Asia's densest skyline, the Wong Tai Sin Temple and the historic Po Lin monastery with the Big Buddha on Lantau Island are among the city's finest.
