Nordic Adventure: Fjords and Ice Worlds

15 nights · 24. August - 8. September 2026 · Reykjavík → Reykjavík

Discover the voyage

From Reykjavík this fifteen-night round trip crosses the Denmark Strait to the largest fjord systems of East Greenland. The Silver Endeavour, carrying 200 guests and rated to PC6 polar class, is one of the most ice-capable expedition ships in the fleet, with a helideck and a Zodiac fleet for landings in thinly settled bays. The arc takes in Scoresby Sound, the largest fjord system on Earth, as well as Kaiser Franz Joseph Fjord and King Oscar Fjord with their steep table mountains and inland-ice margins.

Reykjavík

Grönland – Treibende Eisberge

The world's northernmost capital is the starting point for Iceland's wonders: geysers, volcanoes, glaciers and northern lights. The creative, compact city with the striking Hallgrímskirkja offers excellent cuisine and a surprisingly lively cultural scene.

Leg 2 · Wed, 26.08.

Ittoqqortoormiit

Grönland – Siedlung in der Polardämmerung

This remote Inuit settlement of around 350 inhabitants is one of the loneliest inhabited places on earth, sitting at the entrance to Scoresby Sound, the world's largest fjord system. Brightly painted wooden houses, sled dogs and drift ice define this gateway to the East Greenland wilderness.

Leg 3 · Thu, 27.08.

Scoresby Sund

Grönland – Bunte Häuser im Winter

On Greenland's east coast, Scoresby Sund stretches over several hundred kilometres and ranks as the world's largest fjord system. Icebergs, musk oxen and sheer basalt walls shape this remote landscape.

Leg 4 · Sun, 30.08.

Kejser Franz Joseph Fjord

Grönland – Herbstliche Tundra im Bergtal

Mighty fjord on the east coast of Greenland, deep within Northeast Greenland National Park. Steep sandstone and basalt walls rise up to 2,000 metres from the water, while musk oxen and Arctic wolves roam the uninhabited landscape.

Leg 5 · Thu, 03.09.

King Oscar Fjord

Deeply incised fjord on the east coast of Greenland, set within Northeast Greenland National Park, the largest national park in the world. Bare red-sandstone mountains, vast calving glaciers and herds of musk oxen characterise this uninhabited polar landscape.

Leg 6 · Mon, 07.09.

Dynjandi Waterfalls

Dynjandi lies on the namesake fjord in Iceland's remote Westfjords and tumbles down some 100 metres over seven tiers. The uppermost step is 30 metres wide and the foot 60 metres across, giving the falls their characteristic bridal-veil shape.

Leg 7 · Mon, 24.08.

Reykjavík

The world's northernmost capital is the starting point for Iceland's wonders: geysers, volcanoes, glaciers and northern lights. The creative, compact city with the striking Hallgrímskirkja offers excellent cuisine and a surprisingly lively cultural scene.
