Bonaire National Marine Park protects the reef just offshore - snorkellers and divers enjoy undisturbed encounters with colourful fish, sea turtles and manta rays. Flamingos nest in the salt lakes in the south of the island.
St. John is the smallest of the US Virgin Islands and two-thirds Virgin Islands National Park. Trunk Bay with its underwater-marked snorkelling trail and Cinnamon Bay with its plantation ruin are among the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.
