San Juan

Karibik - Tropische Inseln mit türkisem Riff aus der Luft

San Juan is the capital of Puerto Rico and one of the best-preserved Spanish colonial cities in the Americas. The blue cobblestones of Old San Juan, the El Morro and San Cristóbal forts (both UNESCO World Heritage) and the lively Creole cuisine are a must.

Leg 2 · Wed, 26.01.

Jost Van Dyke

Jost-van-Dyke DSC1203

Jost van Dyke (British Virgin Islands) is barely 8 square kilometres in size, yet famous far beyond the Caribbean. The legendary "Soggy Dollar Bar" at White Bay Beach - where you swim ashore from your anchorage and pay with wet notes - is regarded as the most laid-back beach in the world.

Leg 3 · Thu, 27.01.

Gustavia

Der Hafen von Gustavia auf St. Barth aus der Luft

Gustavia is the capital of Saint-Barthélemy and is regarded as the "Côte d'Azur of the Caribbean". The small natural harbour, surrounded by international boutiques, gourmet restaurants and elegant yachts, blends relaxed island feel with European refinement.

Leg 4 · Fri, 28.01.

Roseau

Karibik - Weißer Strand mit Segelboot im türkisen Wasser

Roseau is the capital of Dominica, the "Nature Island" of the Caribbean. Morne Trois Pitons National Park (UNESCO) with the Boiling Lake (a boiling volcanic lake) and the Carib Reserve (home to the last Caribbean indigenous people) make Dominica unmistakable.

Leg 5 · Sat, 29.01.

Canouan

Palmenstrand mit türkisfarbenem Wasser in der Karibik

Canouan belongs to the Grenadines of St Vincent and is a small, tranquil island of white sand beaches fringed by a coral reef. Turquoise bays and its intimate scale make it an exclusive retreat.

Leg 6 · Sun, 30.01.

St George's

Atlantik – Sandstrand auf den Kapverden

St George's is the capital of Grenada and is considered one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the Caribbean. Pastel-coloured houses, old Fort George and the spice market give the town its distinctive character.

Leg 7 · Tue, 01.02.

Willemstad

Delfine im klaren Wasser der Karibik

Willemstad on Curaçao is one of the most vibrant UNESCO World Heritage cityscapes in the Caribbean: the colourful Dutch colonial buildings of the Handelskade are reflected in the harbour - in the 17th century Curaçao was the trading centre of the Dutch Caribbean. Curaçao is also known for the best coral diving in the Lesser Antilles.

Leg 8 · Wed, 02.02.

Kralendijk

Weißer Strand mit dem Schatten einer Palme

Kralendijk on Bonaire is the gateway to the finest coral diving in the Caribbean. Bonaire National Marine Park protects the reef just offshore - snorkellers and divers enjoy undisturbed encounters with colourful fish, sea turtles and manta rays. Flamingos nest in the salt lakes in the south of the island.

Leg 9 · Fri, 04.02.

St John

USVirginIslands SaintJohn 0190

St. John is the smallest of the US Virgin Islands and two-thirds Virgin Islands National Park. Trunk Bay with its underwater-marked snorkelling trail and Cinnamon Bay with its plantation ruin are among the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.

Leg 10 · Tue, 25.01.

San Juan

Felsige kleine Insel in der karibischen See

San Juan is the capital of Puerto Rico and one of the best-preserved Spanish colonial cities in the Americas. The blue cobblestones of Old San Juan, the El Morro and San Cristóbal forts (both UNESCO World Heritage) and the lively Creole cuisine are a must.
