The North Pole, with East Greenland either side. Reykjavík provides the southern bookend; from there, Le Commandant Charcot sets a north-easterly course through the pack ice and, if conditions allow, reaches 90° North before turning back along the eastern coast of Greenland - Scoresby Sound, the largest fjord system in the world.
