Seventeen nights through the South Atlantic: from Ushuaia, Le Boréal first heads for the Falkland Islands with Grave Cove and New Island, both bird and penguin reserves away from the main tourist sites. The route then leads to South Georgia with its king penguin colonies and the former Grytviken whaling station. The course continues across the Drake Passage to the Antarctic Peninsula and back to Ushuaia. The extended version of the classic peninsula route, with a clear wildlife emphasis.
